Well, the moment is here that every Audi R8 fan has waited for since the inception of the original R8 in 2006: The release of the Audi R8 V10 to the U.S. market.
The new Gallardo-V10′d R8 will eclipse it’s baby brother with the 4.2L V8 sourced from an RS4 in terms of power with it’s 5.2FSi V10 but you can bet that the R8 V10 will also cost a pretty penny or two more than the V8. It’s expected that the V10 version will cost an additional $45,000 to $55,000 over the original model. What does that additional coin buy?
Well, it’s expected that many of the features that are only optional on the V8 are going to be standard on the V10. Hopefully, for those few that can wait the additional 10 months for the car to debut in early 2010, they will be privy to optional features like the Bang & Oulfsen sound system and ceramic disc brakes potentially finding their way onto the standard features list for the range-topping R8.
However, if you’re too eager to wait in line at your local dealer you can always take a vacation down to Boca Raton to pick up the first U.S. R8 V10 at 3rd Annual Boca Concours. And of course, feel free to snatch up the first Ferrari California while you’re down there.
However, for everyone else in the market for an R8 V10, as we’ve said above, you’ll have to wait a few months, but according to Autoblog, U.S. dealers are now taking orders, which overshadows rumors that the V10 wasn’t U.S. bound. We suggest you go ahead and leave a voicemail for your favorite sales advisor tonight - ’cause these will likely be bought up even faster and at a higher premium than the initial R8 was.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
