Audi R8 + Ferrari 599 GTB = FAIL

By Andrew on Tue, May 26, 2009

R8

I was going to use the title that “Two Red Cars don’t make a right” but that was just too cheesy.

Anyway, what we see here is quite an anomaly, not that it’s two supercars that have been wrecked but that it’s two supercars that have been wrecked by each other. That’s right, in Fu Zhou, China while this red Ferrari 599 GTB was being followed by the red Audi R8 when traffic suddenly halted, causing the Ferrari to stop short and the Audi stop somewhere in the middle of the bumper of the Ferrari. Fortunately though, the occupants of both cars only received minor injuries as a result of the accident.

However, from a quick estimate, we’re looking at an accident worth between $650,000 and $750,000 between the Ferrari and Audi - my guess is the R8 driver may have a hard time getting insured ever again after this!

What an idiot. Does that Audi driver really think he has a car that can beat a Ferrari??? That R8 has just got the looks, which is not that spectacular anyway. And test reports have also confirmed that the brakes are not sufficient for a car like this, let alone the title of th poorest handling car in this class! What an idiot!
